Coming to you today with my August BookHaul! I’ve managed to accumulate a ridiculous amount this month, and due to that I’m officially putting myself on a book buying ban. But, until then, here goes!
So, recently I’ve discovered a love for Graphic Novels, which is not something I thought I would ever enjoy, however I was very, very wrong about that. I’m super excited to continue on with the Snot Girl and Paper Girls series, and I have heard so many good things about Saga. The Speak graphic novel is fairly new out, and I found it on BookOutlet, which was awesome because it’s quite long and hardcover, meaning I got a steal for this one! As for Afterlife with Archie, I’ve read the first two short comics within this Volume and LOVED them. So creepy and weird, totally up my alley!
These two YA novels are ones that have been on my radar for a while, so while I was in St. John’s and able to go to an actual book store I seen them a grabbed them right away. I haven’t read anything by either author at this time. I do have “We Are The Ants” By Shaun David Hutchinson currently sitting on my TBR shelf as we speak though, and as for Mindy McGinnis, this will be my first novel by her, however I have requested an ARC of her upcoming novel Heroine, that comes out sometime in early 2019. (I am so stoked for that one)
Night Film is a book that piqued my interest after I started Neverworld Wake, By Marisha Pessl. I heard that this novel was really good, and when I seen it on Indigo for $6 there was no way I wasn’t going to buy it. Smoke Gets Into Your Eyes is something that really intrigued me when I heard BookTuber Natasha of myreadingisodd talking about it on her channel.
(don’t) Call Me Crazy is essentially an anthology (with some really exciting authors contributing) about Mental Health. It wasn’t supposed to be out until October, so imagine my delight when I seen on Bookstagram that copies where ALREADY SHIPPING. I was beyond excited. And of course, Heretics Anonymous. I was so excited to pick up a hard copy of what has absolutely been my favorite read so far this year!!!
I’m really not going to go into a whole lot of detail about my BookOutlet buys, as they were all impulsive (I have no self-control) and have been on my TBR for some time now. I received a Digital Review copy of This Cruel Design, so when I seen This Mortal Coil on BookOutlet for cheap I grabbed it! This Cruel Design seemed interesting to me, so I requested it not even knowing that it was a sequel (oops!).
And finally we have this months OwlCrate book! I know literally nothing about this book, however I have seen that it is getting stellar reviews all around, and I’m excited to read it.
