I received this book from the publisher in exchange for my fair and honest review.
So this has been my second book of this month, and it took me far to long to get through considering it’s barely 300 pages long.
This is my first Brenda Rufener book, I also own her other novel “Where I Live” which I am kind of reluctant to read after this.
I really like the premise of this book, at first. But to me the entire thing made no sense. You were waiting the whole book for some big plot reveal that never did come, and it just felt really disorganized to me. I had no attachment to any of the characters, and felt that the whole plot dragged, but at the same time seemed to go to fast? I don’t even know if that is possible, haha.
This book might really intrigue some people but it just wasn’t for me. Maybe I’ll give Brenda’s other book a chance and hope that it’s better.
Have you read this book? What were your thoughts?
Since We Last Spoke will be published on April 2nd, 2019!
